MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks are close to getting one of their top scorers back on the court.
On Tuesday’s NBA Today, Shams Charania of ESPN stated that Khris Middleton, a forward for the Bucks, is almost ready to return after his offseason ankle operations. The franchise is “hopeful that he’s going to be able to make his season debut at some point after Thanksgiving.”
“From what I’m told, he has already been cleared medically to play, but for him it’s about comfort, getting on the floor when he’s fully right and feels that he’s going to be able to make an impact like we know Khris Middleton can when he is fully healthy,” Charania continued.
Middleton completed full five-on-five scrimmages with the Bucks on Monday for the first time since undergoing twin ankle operations, marking a “critical step” in his recuperation, according to Charania.
Middleton averaged 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 55 games played last season.
