GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers will be without a few of their key players for their Thanksgiving matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
According to the final injury report from the team, cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion), and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring) have been ruled out, while center Josh Myers (pectoral) remains a game-time decision.
Love will look to Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath to fill in for Doubs, who suffered a concussion during Sunday’s victory against the San Francisco 49ers. The matchup for the Packers’ receiving core against the Dolphins’ secondary will present a challenge as Miami has allowed opposing receivers to score the fewest fantasy points per game this season while the below-freezing temperature at kick-off will make passing the ball tough for both offenses.
Alexander and Cooper will miss a second consecutive game with their injuries. Last week, Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine filled in for Alexander and played the majority of the snaps at cornerback, while former first-round Quay Walker played well despite Cooper’s absence against the 49ers, earning a team-high Pro Football Focus grade of 91.4 after not missing a tackle and recording a key pass breakup.
