RUDOLPH, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Four people were injured including two juveniles being airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Wood County on Monday afternoon.
At about 4pm Wood County Central Dispatch received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wood County Highway C and Wood County Highway S in the Township of Rudolph.
According to a Wood County Sheriff’s Office news release, an SUV was traveling west on Highway C and approaching Highway S while a pickup truck was traveling north on Highway S and approaching Highway C. The pickup truck failed to yeild the right-of-way and the vehicles collided in the intersection of Highways S and C.
The release also said: “Both vehicles came to rest in the northwest ditch with the SUV on its side. The driver of the pickup received minor injuries. The operator and two juvenile passengers in the SUV suffered critical injuries. The two juveniles were flown by helicopter to a local hospital and the female driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.”
The crash remains under investigation.
