WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Police were called to Highway 51 after two collisions occurred on Wednesday morning in the Wausau area caused by overnight snowfall.
According to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department, around 7:10 a.m., the first crash was reported from the Highway 29 ramp in the northbound lanes of Highway 51. It had an impact on the left lane and around 8 a.m., the scene was cleared.
At Bridge Street, the second collision happened in Highway 51’s southbound lanes. The collision occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. and impacted the left lane.
Details about whether anyone was hurt in the collisions were not disclosed by police.
