TOWN OF SUGAR CAMP, WI (WSAU) — One person has died after a one-vehicle crash in the Oneida County Town of Sugar Camp.
Officers were called to Highway 17 near Sunset Road at about 10 AM to find a vehicle that slid off the roadway into a tree. The driver had minor injuries and required extraction.
The unidentified person was transported to Aspirus Rhinelander where they died.
Officers say icy road conditions factored in the incident. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation.
No further information has been released and the victim has not been identified.
