ROTHSCHILD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — More than 1000 people attended the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center Friday night to support the Stone’s Toys For Tots dart tournament.
Proceeds go to help buy new toys for children each Christmas. Organizer Brad Krukowski told WAOW TV that the event has grown considerably in the last ten years.
They’ve raised about $39,000 over the last nine years, including a $10,000 total in 2023.
The goal for 2024 is to raise over $12,000.
“My ultimate goal would be to have enough to help Marathon, help Wood County, help Portage County,” said Krukowski. “You know, help every county around our area fill every stocking they can. You know, every kids needs a toy.”
Friday’s session went late into the night. The tournament picks back up on Saturday Afternoon.
