SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Mountain Bay Metro Police responded to a three-vehicle crash just before 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Jacoby Street. Police said a 34-year-old driver rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old female driver and a 46-year-old passenger.
The 34-year-old then attempted to turn his vehicle, causing it to collide with another vehicle. The driver of the third vehicle, a 26-year-old man, suffered severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance. The 46-year-old passenger was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Two of the vehicles were severely damaged. Mountain Bay Metro cleared the site just after 10:00 a.m.
