MADISON, WI (WSAU) – One of the Badgers’ top defensive targets in the transfer portal has decided where he’ll be playing in 2025.
According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, former three-star LSU defensive lineman Jay’viar Suggs will be committing to Wisconsin after receiving initial interest from Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Arkansas when he announced his intention to enter the portal in December.
On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players ranked Suggs as the No. 61 defensive end and the No. 670 overall player in the portal. He recorded 2.5 sacks and 10 tackles, three of which were for loss during the 2024 season, and will be the Badgers’ 16th transfer commit this off-season including former Grambling State pass rusher Micheal Garner and former Kentucky pass rusher Tyreese Fearbry.
