WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A man died five days after a crash on Highway 52.
The accident happened on December 30. Elroy F. Hendrickson died from his injuries on January 4.
A sheriff’s department report said the accident happened around 2pm on Highway 52 near County Road X. The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. An accident reconstruction team was in the area for nearly four hours after the wreck.
Numerous emergency service crews from the Wausau area assisted at the scene. The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office are also involved in the investigation.
