MADISON, WI (WSAU) – After entering the transfer portal in December, the Wisconsin Badgers’ rushing leader for the 2024 season has decided where he will play next season.
Tawee Walker, a running back who spent just one season in Madison, has committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats, according to a post on his X account.
Walker was one of the Badgers’ bright spots this season, rushing for 864 yards and ten touchdowns, six of which came in wins against Purdue and Rutgers. He took over as starter early in the season when former running back Chez Mellusi retired due to injury concerns.
Wisconsin will turn to young running backs Darrion Dupree and Dilin Jones in 2025 and fans could also see former three-star back Gideon Ituka taking some carries as well as the program looks to find the best fit to be their starting running back for the foreseeable future.
