NEW LISBON, WI (WSAU) — Police in New Lisbon have enlisted the US Marshals to continue the search for Virgil Thew.
The federal agents join a growing list of local and county officers searching for the 47-year-old just days after three counts of homicide were filed against him. Officials say he shot 33-year-old Elizabeth Kolba and two girls, ages 12 and 13.
Officers have found Thew’s last known vehicle. It’s unclear if he has obtained a different car.
His last known location was near Orange Road and McEwen Road. Police have also released surveillance camera footage of him shopping at the New Lisbon Dollar General just before Kolba and
Virgil Thew
the two girls were found dead.
Anyone who sees Thew should consider him armed and dangerous. Do not approach him or attempt to apprehend him on your own, instead call local police or 911.
