Michele Haywood
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has a new Chief of Police and Security Services.
According to a university press release, Michele Haywood was sworn into the role on Monday, January 6. Haywood retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in 2022, following 27 years of service.
She received advanced training in Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement as well as at the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy and will oversee emergency management and parking services units on campus.
Haywood succeeds former Chief Tony Babl, who retired after nearly seven years.
