TOWN OF PINE GROVE, Wis. (WAOW-WSAU) — A teenager is dead and another is injured after a Sunday night crash in Portage County.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, it happened at 9:15 p.m. on Harding Road in the town of Pine Grove.
Police say initial evidence shows the vehicle was heading north, when it left the road and hit a tree.
The 16-year-old male driver died at the scene. The 16-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is leading the investigation.
