MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Governor Tony Evers has selected Wisconsin Rapids Attorney Gregory Jerabek to Branch One of the Wood County Circuit Court.
Evers announced the selection on Wednesday, saying “Greg Jerabek’s legal experience and extensive involvement in the local community and area will be important assets in his work on the bench serving the people of Wood County.”
Jerabek is an attorney for the Nash Law Group in Wisconsin Rapids. He has experience handling bankruptcy, civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense. He has also served on the Board of Directors for groups like the Boys and Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area, United Way of South Wood and Adams County, and the Wood County Crime Stoppers.
His public service resume also includes an eight-year stay on the Wisconsin Rapids Police and Fire Commission.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to accept this appointment to the Wood County Circuit Court – Branch 1,” said Jerabek. “It has been my privilege to serve the people of Wood County for the last 20 years, and I look forward to continuing that service. As a judge, I will serve with great enthusiasm, diligence, and above all, with the highest ethical standards.”
Jerabek will replace Judge Gregory J. Potter, who is retiring this year. Jerabek will complete the remainder of Potter’s term, which ends July 31, 2025.
