STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Due to the extreme cold, the City of Stevens Point will offer free bus rides for a second day.
All fixed-route buses will run free of charge during regular hours. City leaders say the move allows “a safe & warm space for those in need during harsh weather.”
The move comes as Central Wisconsin grapples with a polar vortex that has left temperatures well below freezing for over three days. The last time the temperature was above zero was just before midnight Saturday.
