GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers search for a new defensive line coach is continuing, and today one of the top assistants on the market will submit his name for consideration.
According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers, whose contract is up and is expected to have a robust market, is interviewing with the Packers today for their open defensive line coach position.
Rodgers has been with Tampa Bay for the past six seasons and the Buccaneers’ defense was in the middle of the pack allowing 22.6 points per game and 46 sacks for the season. The Buccaneers finished as a top-five run defense for the fourth time in five seasons with Rodgers on staff in 2023, allowing only 95.3 rush yards per game. Tampa Bay also held its opponents to less than 4.0 yards per carry, the third time in Rodgers’ five seasons with the organization.
The Packers moved on from defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich last week after two seasons in the role.
