WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Habitat for Humanity Wausau is looking for their next partner families.
Families looking for permanent housing who can pay a zero-interest, 30-year mortgage should contact Habitat Wausau for information on the application process.
Qualifying families will be US Citizens or permanent residents who have lived in the Wausau area for at least one year and can pass a criminal background check.
Families must also put in 300 hours of “sweat equity.” That includes a combination of classes, workshops, events, volunteering at Habitat’s ReStore in Weston, or helping with home construction.
The program is open to those earning between $33,200 and $75,120 based on family size.
