MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team beat Nebraska 83-55 on Sunday at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers went out to a 19-2 lead with a barrage of early three-pointers. The Huskers cut it to five but Wisconsin then went on a 16-2 run to pull away.
John Tonje led Wisconsin with 27 points. John Blackwell had 14 and Kamari McGee added 11.
The Badgers went 14-31 from three point range. They also forced 12 turnovers outscoring the Huskers 17-3 on those extra possessions.
The 18th ranked Badgers are now 16-4, 6-3 in the Big Ten. They play at Maryland on Wednesday night.
