DODGE COUNTY, WI (WSAU) – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department took a suspected illegal migrant into custody on Sunday following a deadly drunk driving crash that injured six people and killed one.
According to department sources who spoke to radio host Dan O’Donnell, the migrant has been identified as 32-year-old Hector Torano-Perez, who was living in Tennessee but was in Wisconsin on a work-related trip. Torano-Perez was injured in the crash, and his injuries are considered to be life-threatening. His passenger, who is yet to be formally identified, was killed in the accident after being ejected from the vehicle, while the male driver and his female passenger were flown to the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam. The three children’s injuries were minor and non-life threatening.
The department detailed that Torano-Perez and his 30-year-old passenger were traveling eastbound on County Road B in a 2024 Ford F-150 and failed to stop at a stop sign on the corner of County Road B and County Road A, colliding with the 2006 Cadillac Escalade carrying the family.
