MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors are continuing to heat up as a new report shows they may be the most motivated team to make a deal during the league’s upcoming trade deadline.
According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Bucks are “as determined as any team on the NBA map” to make a trade, which may include acquiring Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler, who is currently suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental actions toward the organization.
Stein noted that the Bucks do not have a first-round pick they can trade until 2031 and would likely have to trade Pat Connaughton and Bobby Portis to make Butler’s $48 million cap hit workable. Other rumored trade targets for Milwaukee include Chicago Bulls’ guard Zach LaVine and Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant.
The NBA trade deadline is scheduled for February 6th, and the Bucks’ next game will be on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on 93.9 The Game.
