RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — A 58-year-old Tomahawk man has died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 8 near Rhinelander.
Investigators say it was a head-on collision between a westbound GMC pickup and an eastbound Toyota Camry near the Spring Creek Road intersection in Woodboro. The Tomahawk man, who was driving the Toyota, died at the scene.
A 53-year-old Abbotsford woman was injured in the GMC. Both drivers were the only occupants in their vehicles.
Names of those involved have not been released. It’s unclear if any citations will be issued.
The crash closed a portion of Highway 8 for several hours Tuesday morning.
