WASHINGTON D.C. (WSAU) – A new bipartisan poll from Harvard-Harris has found that most Americans support President Trump’s policies on immigration, cutting government waste, and banning biological men from women’s sports.
According to the poll, 42% of respondents said they think the country is headed in the right direction, up 14% from their January poll; the percentage of respondents who said they think the country is headed in the wrong direction decreased from 58% to 48% in the past month; Trump’s overall approval rating now stands at 52%, and 58% of respondents said they think he is doing a better job than former President Biden.
When broken down by policy, 81% support deporting illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, while 76% support DOGE’s efforts to reduce government waste. Other key policies mentioned included 69% supporting the restriction on biological males participating in women’s sports, 68% backing the proclamation that there are only two genders, and 63% supporting the temporary freezing of USAID.
The poll, which was conducted on February 19 and 20, included 2,443 registered voters and had a margin of error of 2%.
