Brittany and Tristan Hull
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Central Wisconsin man accused of neglecting and abusing his daughter by limiting her food and drink intake will go to trial in January for a pair of felony counts.
Tristan Hull will face a week-long jury trial from January 26th through the 30th for felony counts of child abuse and child neglect, both causing great bodily harm. If found guilty on both counts he faces up to 65 years in prison.
Investigators say Hull and his partner, Brittany Hull, limited the girl’s food and water intake. Brittany reportedly told the girl it was part of a special diet that she had researched on her own to help with an “undiagnosed medical condition.”
Investigators report that the girl was forced to eat meals in a different room and sometimes required help with utensils. She was hospitalized in October of 2023 after first responders were called to the Hull’s home in Rib Mountain where she became unresponsive.
Medics performed CPR on her for more than 20 minutes before she was hospitalized and later flown to Marshfield for treatment.

Brittany is also facing similar charges. She has pled not guilty due to mental disease or defect. She returns to court for a pretrial conference on April 22nd. No trial dates have been scheduled for her.
Tristan Hull has yet to enter a plea for the charges, per court records. He returns to court on April 4th for a pretrial conference. After that, no further action is scheduled until just before the trial in 2026.
Both are jailed on a $1 million cash bond.
