The City of Wausau will discuss a possible summer beer garden on Monday.
The Parks and Recreation Committee is scheduled to discuss a “portable beer garden in a city park,” which could be put on by a vendor or the city/county parks department.
An outline of the proposal includes a selection of craft or locally brewed beer, food, non-alcoholic drinks, and entertainment such as live music. The city would provide the space, electricity, and picnic tables/restrooms.
The organizer would be responsible for permitting and leasing the space from the city.
The last page of Monday’s agenda packet contains more on the proposal. The Parks and Rec Committee will meet at 5:15 PM on Monday at City Hall.
