TOWN OF MEDFORD, WI (WSAU) — A 34-year-old Medford man has died as the result of a single-vehicle crash in Taylor County.
Officers were called to an area of Allman Avenue in the Town of Medford at about 9:30 Monday evening to find the victim belted into a Chevy SUV with significant front-end damage.
Investigators say the vehicle was westbound on Allman Avenue when it left the road and struck a tree. The vehicle continued a short distance and struck another group of trees.
The victim was identified as Rudy Rene Mendoza-Carranza of Medford. Officers say speed was a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
