GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers and free agent return man/wide receiver Mecole Hardman have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal.
The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Hardman, who was a 2019 second-round pick out of Georgia, resigned with the Kansas City Chiefs last summer after he signed with the New York Jets and caught just one pass for five yards before asking to be released during the 2023 season.
In Super Bowl LVIII, Hardman made his most famous play when he caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime to help the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers 25–22. He missed most of the 2024 season, though, after suffering a knee injury in November which led him to being placed on injured reserve. Throughout his career, he has made 178 total catches for 2,302 yards and has scored 21 touchdowns.
