
MARYVALE, AZ (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers were in split squad action on Sunday and split their pair of games. They beat the Colorado Rockies 6-0 and lost to Seattle 10-6.
In The game vs the Mariners Milwaukee was leading 6-3 in the 8th when Seattle struck for seven runs against Brewer minor leaguer Evan McKendry.
Wes Clarke had a two run homer for Milwaukee. Jadher Areinamo drove in two runs.
The Brewers got quality pitching against the Rockies as six pitchers combined for the shutout, giving up just five hits, striking out 12 with just two walks.
Jackson Chourio and Vinny Capra had homers. Capra found out earlier he had made the Opening Day roster after a solid spring. Christian Yelich had two hits and two RBIs in the victory.
The Brewers are now 15-14 this spring. They will take on the Rockies again this afternoon. Opening Day is Thursday at New York vs the Yankees.
