Wausau, WI (WSAU)– This morning, more than 60,000 people were without power after Saturday night’s ice storm.
Langlade County was the most impacted county, with power outages affecting the entirety of the county. Over 10,000 customers are without service within the county, and Forest County reports more than 9,000 outages.
The outages were felt in Oneida, Florence, Marathon, Vilas, Portage, Menominee, Marinette, Shawano, Waupaca, and Oconto counties.
Ice-covered trees and powerlines are affecting the outage, leaving an unclear timeline for restoration.
