MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks have ruled out several players for their regular-season finale against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
According to an injury report from the team, center Brook Lopez, forward Bobby Portis Jr., point guard Damian Lillard, and center Jericho Sims have been ruled out for the team’s final game before the playoffs begin, while forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, guard A.J. Green, guard Kevin Porter Jr., forward Taurean Prince, and guard Gary Trent Jr. have been listed as doubtful. Both guard Ryan Rollins and forward Kyle Kuzma are expected to play.
Lillard was diagnosed with blood clots and has since been out as he recovers. However, head coach Doc Rivers said on Friday that he’s close to returning to the court, saying, “Everything is still progressing positively. Last test was fantastic. So, you know, that’s about all I have. Fingers crossed.”
Milwaukee, which officially claimed the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference with its win over Detroit on Friday night, will face the Indiana Pacers again in the playoffs and will have a chance to redeem itself after Indiana knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
