WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The first Never Forgotten Honor Flight mission of 2025 will take off from the Central Wisconsin Airport Monday morning.
A total of 104 Veterans will board the flight from Mosinee to Washington, DC, where they will spend the day visiting the memorials crafted in their honor. The flight departs at 6:30 AM and returns at approximately 10 PM.
The public is invited to welcome the Veterans home during a special ceremony at CWA. Those who wish to attend arrive by 8:30 PM. Free parking will be provided.
All served during the Vietnam Era except for one, who served during Korea.
Never Forgotten Honor Flight offers Veterans from a 13-county area a free flight to Washington to tour the memorials. Since its inception in April 2010, the organization has taken nearly 5,000 Veterans to Washington.
