MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Twins, the hottest team in baseball, extended their winning streak to 13-games with a 7-0 win over the Brewers on Saturday night. It was Minnesota’s third straight shutout. They haven’t allowed a run since a Wednesday win against Baltimore, 33 innings ago.
The Brewers managed only 3 hits. Milwaukee has been shut out in four of its last five games,
Minnesota’s longest winning streak is 15-games in 1991.
On Sunday the Twins will call up rookie Zebby Matthews to pitch against Freddy Peralta (4-3). Game coverage begins at 12:35pm on WSAU.
