Wausau Ignite
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Ignite softball team banged out 13 hits in a 9-1 win over the Mankato Habaneros on Thursday night at Athletic Park.
Quinn Marnocha, Riley Schwisow and Mia Johnson had home runs for Wausau. Riley Stiles went the distance to pick up the win.
The second game of the doubleheader was rained out and will be made up as part of a DH on July 11th.
Zach Knowlton had a two out two run double in the 10th inning and the Wausau Woodchucks beat Madison 2-1 on Thursday night at Warner Park.
Mason Morello pitched six scoreless innings in his start for the Chucks. Landon Sexton added three scoreless innings. Reece Clapp allowed an unearned run in the 10th but closed the door for sixth save of the season.
The Woochucks host the Green Bay Rockers tonight.
