Sean Duffy
WASHINGTON, DC (WSAU) — Former 7th Congressional District Representative Sean Duffy has a new title.
The current Transportation Secretary will be named as the interim administrator of NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
“Sean is doing a TREMENDOUS job in handling our Country’s Transportation Affairs, including creating a state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control systems, while at the same time rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient, and beautiful, again. He will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time. Congratulations, and thank you, Sean,” said President Trump in a post on Truth Social.
Duffy, who served four full terms in Congress, announced his acceptance on X: “Honored to accept this mission. Time to take over space. Let’s launch.”
He will continue to serve as Transportation Secretary. The move comes after the previous nominee for the post, billionaire Jared Isaacman, was withdrawn from consideration following a background check.
Duffy joins Marco Rubio as members of the President’s cabinet wearing multiple hats these days. Rubio currently serves as Secretary of State, Interim National Security Advisor, and National Archivist.
