WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Mankato Habaneros scored five times in the 2nd inning and went on to shut-out the Wausau Ignite 8-0 on Monday at Athletic Park.
The Ignite were held to just one hit in the game. Molly Fitzgerald got it in the 3rd inning.
The Ignite, now 7-221, will be off until Thursday when they host Madison.
The Northwoods League baseball teams are off for the All-Star break. The All-Star game is being played in Madison on Wednesday night.
