TOWN OF DAYTON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle last Saturday on County Highway Q near Mary Street in the Town of Dayton – just south of the Town of King. Emergency personnel responded quickly but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary reports from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office indicate the accident involved a sport utility vehicle traveling westbound. The driver, who was uninjured, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The identities of both the driver and victim have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
