Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers beat the LA Angels 9-2 for the second straight night on Wednesday at American Family Field.
Sal Frelick hit a three-run homer while Blake Perkins drove in five runs. Brandon Woodruff struck out nine over five innings of work. He allowed one run on two hits with no walks.
The Brewers are five games up on the Chicago Cubs in the Central Division race. The Cubs did clinch a playoff spot with a win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday. The Brewers magic number to clinch the division is now six.
The Brewers and Angels finish their series tonight…pre game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
