ST LOUIS, MO (WSAU) – The Brewers will clinch the NL Central on Sunday if they beat the Cardinals or if the Cubs lose to the Reds.
The team’s magic number dropped to 1 with a 3-2 win in 10-innings in St. Louis. Brice Turang singled home the winning run. Jared Koenig worked the 9th and 10th innings for the win, improving to 6-1 this season.
The Brewers trailed by a run in the 6th when Andrew Vaughn hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game 2-2.
The Brewers are now 7-4 in extra innings.
The Brewers-Cardinals series concludes Sunday at 12:40pm. The game will be heard on 93-9 FM THE GAME because of Packers football on WSAU.
