TOWN OF CHELSEA, WI (WSAU) — One person died in a fiery crash near Medford Tuesday morning.
Investigators were called to State Highway 13 near Alfalfa Avenue at 5:45 AM for a report of a two-vehicle crash. They determined that a Ford Fusion, driven by 19-year-old Allen Madison of Ashland, had drifted across the center line, colliding head-on with a semi.
Both vehicles caught fire as a result of the crash. Madison died at the scene. The driver of the semi was treated for minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
No passengers were involved in the incident.
