MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers declined contract options on two players on Tuesday and will send a third player to salary arbitration.
The Brewers declined mutual options on first baseman Rhys Hoskins and pitcher Jose Quintana. They will play Hoskins a four million dollar buyout. The buyout for Quintana is 2 million. They both become free agents.
Milwaukee also declined a $12 million team option on catcher William Contreras. He is still under team control for two years and will now go to salary arbitration.
