WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of killing his father on October 31st had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf during a Tuesday court appearance.
Randall Harris Jr stood mute during the hearing, with the judge entering the plea on his behalf. He was also bound over for trial, with his attorney requesting a speedy proceeding.
Investigators believe Harris Jr shot his father four times during an argument on October 31st. When police arrived, they found the home in disarray, with many broken items and others that had been thrown.
They found Randall Harris Senior in the basement with spent shell casings near his body. Other family members were also in the home and suffered various injuries.
Harris Jr. was found walking near the home and arrested without incident.
No further court action was immediately scheduled. Harris Jr is being held on a $1 million bond.
