Thomas Schroeder
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A judge has ruled that a Wausau man is not fit to stand trial in a deadly fight case. The fight occurred in August of 2024 on Washington Street.
Police said officers discovered the victim with a head injury. The victim died the following day.
Thomas Schroeder, 44, was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with felony murder.
The court has scheduled a status conference for December 18 to review his competency.
Schroeder remains in the Marathon County Jail with a $100,000 cash bond.
