Donnell Crume
MOSINEE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Mosinee man faces multiple charges after a series of dangerous incidents on August 11, 2025. The charges include first-degree recklessly endangering safety, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct, all involving the use of a dangerous weapon.
According to a complaint filed by a Marathon County law enforcement officer, Donnell Crume was seen wearing pajama pants, a face covering, and a bathrobe while waving a baseball bat after a crash on I-39, which he admitted to causing. Crume reportedly believed his fiancé was kidnapped and claimed the occupants of the multiple vehicles were “shape shifters.”
The investigation revealed Crume had a history with local law enforcement, including charges of disorderly conduct and battery.
Crume was deemed competent to stand trial after an evaluation last month. He had a pre-trial conference in Marathon County court yesterday, and is scheduled to enter a plea on December 17th.
