STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The City of Stevens Point will provide a grant to organizers of a new 365 homeless shelter.
Mayor Mike Wiza says it’s their way of providing solutions to the problem, which he feels is everyone’s responsibility.
The city also plans to move the recently-installed downtown lockers to the new shelter.
In a corresponding move, the city will create an ordinance banning outdoor camping on city property.
