WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau School District will be looking for a new Assistant Superintendent for Operations.
The School Board accepted Josh Viegut’s resignation on Monday. He’s accepted a job that will take him closer to family, according to a statement from Superintendent Cale Bushman released after the meeting.
“Josh is returning to Montana to be closer to his family. During his time in Wausau, he’s done incredible work – most notably leading the adoption of a balanced budget and overseeing the logistics of the consolidation process. He’s done a fantastic job, and he will certainly be missed. We wish him the best of luck,” said Bushman.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Assistant Superintendent of Operations for the Wausau School District and have been consistently impressed by the district, our staff, community, and students. I believe we have achieved meaningful goals during my tenure. I’m genuinely thankful for the opportunity to work at the Wausau School District. While this was a difficult decision and I will miss the district tremendously, I do look forward to being able to spend a lot more time with my family back in Montana,” said Viegut.
The search for Viegut’s replacement will begin immediately.
