HARSHAW, WI (WSAU) — Rondele Ranch Christmas Wonderland will not open on Saturday due to extreme cold.
Those who purchased tickets for Saturday will be automatically refunded, according to a statement from management.
Extreme cold will also delay the opening of the Sylvan Hill tubbing area. Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry had initially planned to open the hill this weekend, but that’s been pushed to December 19th.
The department plans to open the Nine Mile chalet on Monday for biking, skiing, and snowshoeing.
Meanwhile, a portion of the county’s snowmobile trail system opened Saturday at 8 AM. For the most up-to-date trail information, visit the county’s website by clicking here.
Saturday’s temperatures are expected to top out at -2 with wind chill values dipping as low as -30. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until Sunday morning.
