WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau’s Clerk Kaitlyn Bernarde will resign her position after the April election.
A representative from the Mayor’s office confirmed the move to WSAU News on Friday, saying, “Human Resources will start reviewing applications and setting up interviews in the next few weeks.”
The city has posted the position to its job board and Facebook, stating that the listing will be “open until filled.”
Applicants should have three or more years of administrative or government experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and be able to obtain Wisconsin Municipal Clerk Certification within four years. The Clerk oversees elections, takes minutes for the City Council, maintains city records, and manages the Clerk’s office staff.
Bernarde has served as Wausau’s Municipal Clerk for the last four years. Her last day will be April 9th.
