MARYVALE, AZ (WSAU) – The Brewers didn’t hold an early 2-0 lead, and lost their Spring Training opener to the Guardians, 9-6.
Jackson Churio and Brandon Lockridge each had two hits for Milwaukee. Lockridge had a home run.
Pitcher Tyson Hardin allowed three runs, all earned, in one inning of work and took the loss.
The Brewers have split-squad games against the White Sox and Royals on Sunday. They’ll play the Padres on Monday on 93-9FM THE GAME.
