WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a Tactical Communications Team training exercise at the Eau Claire Dells Campground, located off County Road Y, on Tuesday.
Residents will notice an increased law enforcement presence between 1:00 and 4:00 PM, though officers emphasize that there will be no danger to the public during that time. All elements of the exercise will be carefully planned to ensure the safety of both officers and the public.
Officers note that the “Primary goal for this training is to enhance team coordination and response capabilities during disaster scenarios, ensuring effective communication and dispatch of resources. This is a vital part of our commitment to ensure the safety and security of our community.”
The department will be prepared to respond should a real emergency occur during the training.
