RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The Oneida County Snowmobile Trail System will close at 8am on March 6, 2026, according to a public service announcement from the Oneida County Forestry Department. This includes all state and club-funded trails.
The closure is temporary and trails may reopen if weather and trail conditions improve. Snowmobilers are reminded that operating on closed trails is prohibited under the Oneida County Snowmobile Ordinance.
Earlier this week, Lincoln County announced their trails are now closed for the season.
Trails further north are still open. You can check current conditions on the Travel Wisconsin website.
