Wisconsin Badgers
WEST LAFAYETTE, WI (WSAU) The Badgers hit 18 3-pointers in a 97-93 road upset of Purdue.
John Blackwell had 5 3-pointers and 25 points. Nick Boyd had 23.
The 18 3s was a record for a Wisconsin road game.
Purdue took the lead in the second half with a 10-0 run. But the Badgers re-rallied, took the lead with 10:03 remaining, and did not trail for the rest of the game. The Bagers also withstood a 13-0 Boilermakers run in the first half
It’s the first time since 1987 that Purdue scored more than 90 points and lost.
Big Ten tournament seedings will come out on Sunday. The Badgers (22-9 14-6) won’t play until Thursday at either the 5th or 6th seed.
